Soft Infusion Chamber: A soft infusion chamber addresses a common issue in espresso preparation: when water hits the coffee grounds at full pressure, it can act like a drill, creating channels through the coffee bed. These channels lead to uneven saturation, which affects both brewing time and the flavor of your espresso. By incorporating a chamber inside the brew group, positioned before the shower screen, water first enters this chamber. The chamber allows for the coffee bed to be softly saturated. This pre-wetting stage prepares the grounds before full brewing pressure (approximately 9 bar) reaches the grounds bed. This gradual introduction of water allows for even saturation, helping to correct minor issues such as air pockets or fissures in the coffee bed—often caused by uneven tamping. By minimizing channeling and promoting uniform extraction, the soft infusion system enhances consistency and flavor in every shot.
